We start at the top of the Carmel, with a view over all of Haifa Bay, and walk down through the Bahá'í Gardens, 19 terraces leading to the gold-domed Shrine of the Báb. On the way: the Bahá'í faith and why its world center is in Haifa.
At the foot of the gardens runs Ben Gurion Boulevard, heart of the German Colony founded by the Templers in 1869. Among stone houses with German inscriptions we talk about the city's history, from the port to the railway.
