In 1909 sixty-six families met on the sand dunes to draw lots for plots, and Tel Aviv was born. We start where the city was founded and walk along Rothschild Boulevard, learning what makes the International Style and Bauhaus special and how to recognize such a building.
We finish at Independence Hall, where David Ben-Gurion declared the State of Israel on 14 May 1948. The tour ties the architecture to the people who built the first Hebrew city.
Route notes
Independence Hall entry by advance booking (partly under renovation).
